For dealers
Tell us what stones
you carry.
Buyers come to us with what they need: the stone, the size, the colour, the budget. We find it in the trade and introduce them to the dealer who has it. To do that, we need to know which dealers hold what.
Send us what you carryHow it works
How it works, in four steps.
- 01Tell us what you hold.Send us the species you carry, the sizes, and the qualities. Tell us if any stone has a lab report. Include photographs of the actual stones, taken in daylight.
- 02A gemologist looks at it.April reads every one herself — she is a GIA Graduate Gemologist. She looks at what you send the same way a buyer would, and tells you clearly whether our buyers ask for material like yours.
- 03You go on our dealer list. This is a private record of which dealers carry what. Nobody browses it. When a buyer sends us a request, we use it to decide which dealers to ask.
- 04A buyer wants your stone. We give the buyer your name and your number, and give you theirs. You agree the price and the terms between yourselves.
What to send
Three things.
- What you carry, specifically
- We cannot do anything with the word “sapphires” on its own. “Ceylon blue sapphire, 1 to 5 carats, mostly heated, a few with GGT reports” tells us exactly which requests to bring you.
- Photographs in daylight
- Photograph the stones you actually hold, not pictures from a catalogue. Use daylight, not a lamp. Lamp light makes colour look better than it is, and we have to judge what the buyer will really receive.
- Straight answers on treatment
- Tell us whether your corundum is heated or unheated, and what has been done to any other stone. Treatment is normal and accepted in the trade. Hiding it is not, and it is the one thing that would end our working relationship.
Before you send anything
What this is not.
There is no marketplace here. Nothing you send us is published anywhere, and no buyer looks through a catalogue of your stock. We keep the information privately and use it when a buyer's request matches what you hold.
It also depends entirely on what buyers ask for. Requests for one type of material can be months apart. Being on our list is not a promise of orders. We would rather tell you that now than leave you wondering in six weeks why you have not heard from us.
What we do promise is a clear answer. If your material is not what our buyers ask for, we will say so.
Send us your stones.
Send us one message on WhatsApp: what you carry, and a few photographs taken in daylight. April reads every message herself.
